Research Notes

  • The Ravens went 2-of-14 (14%) on third down Sunday, needing at least 10 yards to convert on nine of those plays. The Ravens averaged 11.2 yards to go on third down Sunday.

  • Ravens' rushers were hit in the backfield on nine of their 21 designed runs Sunday. The Ravens haven't been hit as many times in the backfield since Week 1 of the 2010 season against the Falcons.

  • James Jones was hurt early in the first quarter Sunday and Randall Cobb was hurt on the Packers' last play before halftime. What was the impact on losing Jones AND Cobb Sunday?- Aaron Rodgers went 4-of-9 targeting Jordy Nelson with an interception. It was the first interception Rodgers has thrown when targeting Nelson this season, and it was just the second time since the start of last season the duo failed to connect on half of their attempts in a game.- Nelson and Jermichael Finley accounted for nine of Rodgers' 11 second half targets. Those two accounted for 34% of Rodgers' targets in the team's first four games.- The Packers called designed runs on 59% of their second-half plays. That's the second highest designed rush percentage for the Packers in a half in the last three seasons, something made easier by having Eddie Lacy. Lacy is averaging a full yard more per rush (4.4) than last year's leading Packer rusher (Alex Green, 3.4 yards per rush).
