Research Notes

  • Ray Rice had his best game of the season on Sunday, posting 25 rushes for 131 yards and a touchdown. Rice's first rush of the game was a 47-yard run, a bigger yardage total than seven of his eight games this season. Even without his 47-yard run, Rice still would have posted a season high in rushing yards.

  • Inclement weather conditions added a degree of difficulty for both quarterbacks Sunday, and one stepped up to the challenge. Josh McCown outshined the reigning Super Bowl MVP, highlighted by a 28-yard throw to Martellus Bennett (43-yard play total) in overtime that helped set up the game-winning field goal.
