Research Notes

  • Geno Smith's Total QBR was 1.6 in Sunday's start and is 3.8 over his last 5 starts. He has made 5 straight starts with a Total QBR under 15.0. Only JaMarcus Russell has a longer streak since 2006.

  • Geno Smith now has as many games with a single-digit Total QBR (6) as he has games with a double-digit Total QBR.

  • Geno Smith was benched in the third quarter after another poor start. Smith finished 4-of-10 for 29 yards, an interception and a sack Sunday, including a 2-of-5 performance for 8 yards, an interception and sack against the Miami blitz. Smith's poor performance this season against at least five rushers is familiar to Jets fans.
