Research Notes

  • Philip Rivers tied a season high with a 93.5 Total QBR against the Giants. His Total QBR is 72.9 this season, an increase of 31.4 points from last season, the biggest Total QBR improvement among any qualified quarterback this season.

  • Eli Manning threw his eighth interception of the season targeting Rueben Randle. Of the five QB-WR combinations that have at least six interceptions, only Manning-to-Randle has fewer than 65 completions. Including Sunday, Randle has 37 catches this season from Manning- 50 wide receivers entered Week 14 with as many or more.

  • Philip Rivers picked apart the Giants secondary, completing 17-of-23 passes for 219 yards and three touchdowns against four or fewer rushers. Rivers continued his excellent bounce-back season and has thrown three touchdowns and no interceptions against standard pressure in two of the last three weeks.

  • Eli Manning threw at least two interceptions in a game for the fifth time this season on Sunday. Since his rookie season in 2004, no player has more multi-interception games than Manning.
