Houston's pick-6, Poe's TD run carry Chiefs over Chargers

Justin Houston intercepted Philip Rivers' pass and returned it 17 yards for a touchdown as the Kansas City Chiefs embarrassed the free-falling San Diego Chargers 33-3 on Sunday.

  • Philip Rivers completed 1-of-8 passes thrown more than 10 yards downfield Sunday including 0 for his last 7 with 6 off-target throws. Rivers' 12.5% completion percentage on such throws is his second worst mark in the past 10 seasons (11.1% in Week 8 2012).

  • Kansas City rushed 26 times for 131 yards and a touchdown between the tackles Sunday, including 97 after first contact. The Chiefs averaged 3.7 yards after contact per rush, their second most in a game in the last 10 seasons (Week 17 2009). San Diego was not nearly as successful, as the Chargers were held to just 11 yards after contact on 19 rushes between the tackles.
