Bears starting CB Tracy Porter is down on the ground after it looked like he took a knee to the head from teammate Harold Jones-Quartey.

The Dolphins made several cuts today. WRs Matt Hazel and AJ Cruz and CB Brandon Harris were the key names. The team is now down to 78 players. They need to get down to 75 players on Tuesday.

Another Chiefs drive stalled deep in Chicago's end of the field and resulted in a field goal. Again, neither of Alex Smith's final two passes went into the end zone. Smith took a couple of big hits on the drive, one resulting in a helmet to helmet penalty on the Bears. Chiefs lead 6-0 in the second quarter.

Alex Smith is having a day for the Chiefs. He's 9-of-11 passing for 82 yards. His biggest play was. 17-yard scramble on 3rd and 14 to keep a scoring drive alive. But his two latest passes failed to go into the end zone and the Chiefs had to settle for a field goal and a 3-0 lead over the Bears.

Now Chiefs have forced first possession punt for first time in preseason. Last two weeks: end zone interception and touchdown.

The Falcons say Dashon Goldson is talking to other teams and knows what his role with the Falcons would be. Rookie Keanu Neal will miss a couple games after Monday knee surgery so Falcons need depth at strong safety. Dan Quinn said Goldson won't be a starter. Healthy Kemal Ishmael would be starter in place of Neal over Goldson if Goldson signs. Apparently not about money but about role for Goldson, so he'd have to accept being a backup.

Time is running out for TE Zach Miller and WR Eddie Royal to see preseason action. Both remain sidelined with concussions after being limited in practice all week.

1 million American soldiers gave their lives so that Kaepernick & Trump can say whatever they want and you clowns can tweet about them.

The Chiefs failed to score a touchdown on their first possession for the first time in the preseason in today's game against the Bears.

Vaughn McClure ESPN Staff Writer

Dan Quinn emphasized that he's not panicking about the performance in the "dress rehearsal" game vs. Dolphins. Quinn gave Miami credit for its performance.

Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter

Colin Kaepernick didn't stand for National Anthem in first 2 preseason games, either: few noticed because he wasn't in uniform, didn't play.

A welcome sight for the Bears as ILB Danny Trevathan takes the field with the first team defense. Trevathan, the Bears top target in free agency, missed a large chunk of camp with a hamstring injury.

Vaughn McClure ESPN Staff Writer

Falcons GM Thomas Dimitroff said on conference call that veteran safety Dashon Goldson had a good workout and the team is talking to Goldson's representatives now. Could sign Goldson with rookie first round pick Keanu Neal set to undergo a knee scope Monday.
