Stacking the NFL's best defenses

Teams that have started Joe Flacco, Trevor Siemian, Carson Wentz, Sam Bradford, Shaun Hill, Jimmy Garoppolo and Jacoby Brissett have a combined ZERO losses. It's a time to praise defenses.

The Big Story for every NFL team

After a four-touchdown first half, Aaron Rodgers showed that he's back to his old self. A Russell Wilson injury, meanwhile, showed that the Seahawks could have issues.

Saints offense right back at it with a quick TD drive after the disastrous pick 6. A 5-yard TD pass to Mark Ingram that was his first TD catch in six seasons with the Saints. Saints have actually outgained the Falcons 420-367. But they still trail the Falcons 45-32 with 10:00 remaining.

Falcons rookie LB Deion Jones really stood out at the Senior Bowl workouts last January. He moves like a strong safety. Speed and lateral quickness. We saw that on his interception return for a touchdown.

90 yards TO THE HOUSE. This Deion Jones pick-6 ended Drew Brees' run of 305 passes without an INT: es.pn/2czhSRF

Saints in huge trouble now after Falcons LB and New Orleans native Deion Jones returns an interception 90 yards for a touchdown off a tipped pass intended for WR Michael Thomas. Saints were closing in on a one-score game. But the jinx was in after the Saints had recently announced that Drew Brees became the third quarterback in NFL history with more than 300 straight passes without an interception. Atlanta leads 45-25 early in the fourth quarter.

There goes Drew Brees' 305-pass streak without an interception, and there goes the Saints' realistic shot at winning this game.

Matt Bowen @MattBowen41

Think the Saints were trying to run a pick-play for Thomas on the inside slant. Falcons might have been in Cover 3. Eyes on the QB.

New Orleans native, former LSU star Deion Jones takes the deflected Drew Brees pass and returns it 90 yards for a touchdown. Jones always wanted to play in the Superdome. Now he scores a touchdown in his first ever game inside the Dome. Falcons lead 45-25.

Since 2012, NFL starting QBs are 8-175 when the other team scores 38+ points. Good luck, Drew Brees (this is his league-high 10th game since 2012 when the opponent scored 38+).

If you are going from the debate to the Monday Night game: imagine a game between the Falcons and Saints defenses and it's been that

Like the call on the Saints two-point conversion. Fake the jet sweep and run the "flip" play (toss) to RB Mark Ingram. Mis-direction inside of the five-yard line is tough on the defense. Speed of the game increases and defenders don't have time to correct false steps. Falcons lead 35-25 in the third quarter.

Mike Triplett ESPN Staff Writer

Per the Saints, Drew Brees has now gone 300 passing attempts without an INT, becoming the 4th QB in NFL history with a streak of at least 300 or more.

Saints' offense doing its part tonight. Now up to 25 points and 271 yards midway through third quarter -- which would be really impressive if Falcons didn't have 35 points and 291 yards. Lots of time and lots of points still to come in this one.
