LB Josh Bynes is re-signing with the Lions, a source confirms to ESPN. Bynes had been with Detroit earlier this year but was released off injured reserve last month with an injury settlement. He now comes back to the club after the trade of Kyle Van Noy to New England. Bynes will likely slide into one of the starting linebacker spots, most likely at SAM whenever DeAndre Levy returns from injury. The Detroit Free Press first reported Bynes' re-signing.

Gary Kubiak said he understood the frustration from fans over Kubiak's decision to first run the ball with 39 seconds left in the half from the Broncos' 40-yard line and then to let the clock simply run out after C.J. Anderson's 4-yard run. Tuesday, Kubiak said: "(I) have my reasons, probably not good reasons, probably should stay aggressive right there … My fault. You want to blame somebody, blame me … But I do agree with y'all, we should be aggressive right there.'' The Broncos were concerned with their punt protection scheme if they didn't get a first down.

The Bucs have re-signed Donteea Dye to the practice squad, team announced. He was waived last week when it became apparent that he was not ready to play against the 49ers due to being out several weeks with a hamstring injury. Dirk Koetter said he was rusty.

Injured Jets WR Eric Decker, a close friend of Ryan Fitzpatrick, suggested the long contract stalemate may have fueled Fitzpatrick's post-game venting against team brass. Decker: "Throughout the offseason, I think it was hard for him, just trying to gauge the interest, I guess, maybe the Jets had or what their plan was going forward in getting him in the facility to start the season. ...
