Ben McAdoo says that "everything with the offensive line is correctable." He also pointed out it's more than just O-line. Needs more out of tight ends, Will Tye in particular.

Dolphins HC Adam Gase said both rookies Kenyan Drake and Xavien Howard will play in Thursday's preseason finale. It will be their debuts.

Defensive tackle Stephon Tuitt had a monster game Friday at New Orleans. He thinks DE tandem of Tuitt/Cam Heyward is one of league's best

Falcons WR Julio Jones not on the practice field today coming off ankle injury. DEs Dwight Freeney (back) and Adrian Clayborn (shoulder) watched from the side in shorts along with RB Brandon Wilds (knee). No sign of WR Devin Fuller (shoulder).

Jordy Nelson should see increased work in practice this week even though he's not expected to play at KC. "It's important for Jordy to get a ton of work this week with Aaron [Rodgers]," Packers coach Mike McCarthy said. "That's really the focus. I feel good about where he is, it's just reps. But I think Jordy looks great."

Colts were concerned, but turns out OL Jack Mewhort does not need surgery and owner Jim Irsay expects him to miss 2-4 weeks.

Another sign the Packers won't play their starters in the finale at KC. Said coach Mike McCarthy: "It's important to get the younger part of our football team ready for Kansas City and give them every chance to maximize their opportunity."

Dr. Harry Edwards, a 49ers team consultant and noted sociologist, is at the team's practice today. He embraced QB Colin Kaepernick and chatted with him briefly before the start of the workout.

Chargers announce RB Branden Oliver suffered an Achilles injury and will not return. Oliver had to be carted off of the field after the non-contact injury. It did not look good. Oliver finished 2015 on IR with turf toe.

40-year-old punter Shane Lechler is on the program for today's Texans game against the Cardinals.

Packers first-round pick Kenny Clark said he's not worried that his back injury – which he referred to as "tightness" – would keep him out of the regular-season opener. He didn't travel to the 49ers game because the doctors didn't think the long flight would be good for his back.

49ers QB Colin Kaepernick (in the black No. 7 jersey) let the braids out for today's practice as San Francisco resumes practice in advance of Thursday's preseason finale against San Diego.

A few Cardinals players are starting to trickle onto the field to stretch and warm up.

VIKINGS 12, CHARGERS 10 (HALFTIME): Though he was under more pressure than the Vikings probably would have liked, Teddy Bridgewater had an impressive first half in his return from the sore shoulder that kept him out last Thursday against the Seahawks. Bridgewater went 12-for-16 for 161 yards and a touchdown, also juking his way to a 22-yard run. Jerick McKinnon had a solid half, too, gaining 56 yards on eight carries, and Bridgewater found Stefon Diggs five times for 71 yards. The Vikings' concerns from the first half are familiar ones: Bridgewater was sacked three times, and Melvin Gordon scored the first touchdown at U.S. Bank Stadium on a 39-yard run after Audie Cole went for Philip Rivers on a blitz and Michael Griffin missed Gordon in the open field.

Backup quarterback Derek Anderson doesn't have a helmet so it appears he will get a rare day off for Panthers. That means a lot of work for Cam Newton and Joe Webb. Appears LB Thomas Davis and DT Kawann Short are getting a vet day. Guard Chris Scott will practice.

It's 1:30 on Sunday, and while there are some shadows on the field at U.S. Bank Stadium, they don't seem unmanageable. Late afternoons will be interesting.

Ben Goessling ESPN Staff Writer

Assuming he's done for the day after leading a two-minute drill for a touchdown, Teddy Bridgewater will finish 12-for-16 for 161 yards and a score, while running for 22 yards on one scramble. Bridgewater was sacked three times, but did an impressive job making throws in the pocket as defenders closed in on him. He also engineered the touchdown with three impressive throws in a row, finding Kyle Rudolph for a 27-yard touchdown after a 22-yard sideline strike to Stefon Diggs and a 19-yard completion to Charles Johnson.

Rob Demovsky ESPN Staff Writer

Packers WR Jordy Nelson said he "probably won't" play in the preseason finale on Thursday at KC, which means he'll go into the regular season without any game reps since his ACL tear. He does expect to get team (11-on-11) reps in practice this week.
