The lawsuit alleges Dr. Mark Bowen, Dr. Gordon Nuber, head
trainer Tim Bream and the Northwestern Orthopedic Institute
incorrectly evaluated Brockermeyer's injury and damaged his
football career. It seeks $50,000 from each defendant.
Team officials said they would have no comment before reviewing
The Bears released Brockermeyer before the 2002 season, after he
had started 45 games at left tackle from 1999 to 2001. He is now
earning $665,000 with the Broncos.
