Saints cornerback Brown arrested, charged with DUI

SAN ANTONIO -- New Orleans Saints cornerback Fakhir Brown
was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated, the team
said Friday.

Brown, who was arrested Wednesday, is the second Saints player
to face a DWI charge in San Antonio in two weeks. Linebacker
Courtney Watson was charged with drunken driving on Oct. 26.

Saints spokesman Greg Bensel confirmed Brown's arrest and said
the team's security department was reviewing the matter. He had no
further comment.

Brown was charged with DWI after he was pulled over for a moving
violation at early Wednesday, and he was later released on bond,
according to The Times-Picayune of New Orleans. Calls to the Bexar
County Sheriff's Office and the San Antonio Police Department on
Friday were not immediately returned.

Brown, of Mansfield, La., played for Grambling State. He began
his NFL career in 1999 with the San Diego Chargers and is in his
fourth season with the Saints.

After Hurricane Katrina, the Saints relocated to San Antonio,
where they practice and have one more home game against Detroit on
Dec. 24. Their next game is Nov. 20 at New England.
