After signing with the Chargers last year and not playing a game, Kynan Forney agreed Wednesday to a two-year, $4.8 million contract that will pay him $2 million in the 2009 season.
With guard Mike Goff headed into restricted free agency, Forney might be given a chance to start at guard.
The 30-year-old Forney had 89 starts in seven seasons with the Falcons.
The 6-foot-3, 302 pound athletic guard works well in a zone blocking scheme.
