NFL letter clarifies Pacman OK to play

Any obstacles that might have prevented free-agent cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones from rejoining the NFL were officially cleared Monday.

The NFL sent Jones' agents, Ray Savage and Tom Hunter, an e-mail notifying them their client was free to sign with and play for any team he wants this season.

Some teams had questions about whether Jones would be able to play for them after Jones was reinstated in 2008 but spent last season out of football.

"This is further affirmation that Adam is ready, willing and able to step in and contribute immediately," Savage said.

Detroit and Cincinnati have expressed the most interest in Jones, who worked out for teams earlier this month.
