NEW YORK -- Former NFL officiating chief Mike Pereira will be making calls for Fox during its football coverage.
Pereira retired after last season. The network said Monday that he will watch games in Fox's studios each Sunday to be available to provide rules interpretations as needed.
Pereira will also chat with fans online. He'll write a weekly column for the Fox Sports website and appear on radio shows.
Pereira began calling NFL games in 1996. He became the league's director of officiating in 2001 and was promoted to vice president of officiating in 2004.
