Anthony Herrera out for season

MINNEAPOLIS -- The Minnesota Vikings have lost starting right guard Anthony Herrera for the rest of the season to a knee injury.

Herrera was hurt in the first quarter of Sunday's game against Green Bay and didn't return. He was replaced by Ryan Cook. Coach Brad Childress said he was "very disappointed" for Herrera and that he believes he tore his anterior cruciate ligament. Herrera will have an MRI test on Monday to confirm the diagnosis.

Wide receiver Bernard Berrian also hurt his groin again, limiting him to a handful of plays and forcing Sidney Rice into extended action in his first game of the season following hip surgery in late August.

Berrian was listed as questionable after aggravating the injury in warmups at Chicago last week and sitting out of that game.
