Williams rushed for 123 yards and scored three touchdowns -- two rushing and one receiving -- to lead the Panthers to a 34-0 victory over the Chiefs. Jonathan Stewart added 72 yards on the ground as Carolina outrushed K.C. 205-35.
The Redskins are rolling in the NFC East, and Portis is a big reason why. After rushing for 121 yards in a Week 4 victory at Dallas, Portis pounded out 145 yards in Washington's 23-17 victory at Philadelphia. Portis broke open a two-point game with a 4-yard TD run early in the fourth quarter.
Jacobs carried 15 times for 136 yards, including touchdown runs of 1 and 3 yards, to help the Giants rout the Seahawks 44-6. The bruising halfback set the tone on New York's opening series, going 44 yards around left end to set up a 32-yard TD pass from Eli Manning to Domenik Hixon. The Giants have won eight straight, dating to last year's playoff run.
White continues to emerge as a consistent, big-play threat for Falcons rookie QB Matt Ryan. The fourth-year wideout caught eight passes for 132 yards and a touchdown in Atlanta's 27-24 victory at Green Bay. It was White's second 100-yard receiving game of the season.
Orton enjoyed the most productive game of his career Sunday. He set career highs in passing yards (334), completions (24) and quarterback rating (121.4) and threw for two touchdowns to lead the Bears to a 34-7 win over Detroit. Orton threw both of his TD passes in the second quarter, helping Chicago build a commanding 17-0 halftime lead.
An impressive goal-line stand helped the Dolphins preserve a 17-10 upset victory over the Chargers. On the first play of the fourth quarter, the Dolphins stuffed Chargers RB LaDainian Tomlinson at the 1 on fourth down. Tomlinson was held to only 35 rushing yards as Miami held the explosive Chargers to 202 total yards.
A week after being torched by the Jets in a 56-35 loss, the Cardinals' defense rebounded nicely against the previously unbeaten Bills. Arizona forced four turnovers and registered five sacks as it remained unbeaten at home with a 41-17 victory.
The Texans were on their way to a stunning home victory over the Colts. Then Rosenfels unraveled. Playing for the ill Matt Schaub, Rosenfels lost two fumbles late in the fourth quarter, allowing the Colts to overcome a 10-point deficit and win 31-27. Rosenfels' day ended with an interception during Houston's last-ditch comeback attempt in the final minute.
The Lions had minus-4 yards of offense after their first three possessions against the Bears. On their fourth possession, QB Jon Kitna lost a fumble. Kitna, who left the game in the third quarter because of back spasms, and backup Dan Orlovsky combined for only 131 passing yards. Detroit (0-4) was held to under 100 yards rushing for the third time this season.
What a difference a week makes. The Chiefs' Larry Johnson ran for 198 yards in a Week 4 victory over Denver. In Sunday's 34-0 loss to the Panthers, Johnson had only 2 yards on seven carries. Kansas City rushed for only 35 yards overall.
The Seahawks allowed 523 total yards to a Giants team that was missing its best offensive weapon: suspended receiver Plaxico Burress. The Giants had nine plays of 15 yards or more in the first half as they cruised to a 44-6 victory.
