NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- San Diego Chargers kick returner Darren Sproles was inactive Sunday against the Tennessee Titans with a strained right knee.
Sproles has returned two touchdowns this season, and has averaged a team-high 26.2 yards per kickoff. He was replaced by Buster Davis.
All-Pro outside linebacker Shawne Merriman, who was questionable with an ailing right calf, was in the starting lineup.
Titans right guard Benji Olson was back in the lineup after missing three consecutive games with a strained back.

The Chargers handled the Chiefs in Kansas City last week and have won six of their last eight games. Before this game, San Diego was just 1-4 on the road. The Chargers are a much better team at home, but they are starting to play up to their immense talent. They are a very dangerous team right now and sit firmly atop the AFC West.
