MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- The Chicago Bears put cornerback Nathan Vasher back in the starting lineup for Monday night's game against the Minnesota Vikings.
Vasher has missed the last 10 games with a groin injury. He was on the active list for the banged-up Bears defense that has not been at full strength all season. Chicago also deactivated nose tackle Darwin Walker, who has been bothered this week by an elbow injury.
The Vikings, who came out for warmups wearing purple pants with their home purple jerseys for the first time, put wide receiver Troy Williamson on the inactive list.
Williamson has been cleared to play following a concussion sustained in the Nov. 25 game against the New York Giants, but the former seventh overall draft pick has fallen to the bottom of the depth chart behind rookie Aundrae Allison. Allison has emerged as Minnesota's lead kickoff returner.

Scouting Report
Peterson and Taylor will set up play-action for Jackson
These are two bitter NFC North rivals and it doesn't matter what the records are because either team could win thsi game on Monday Night Football. Right now the Bears are fading fast and they have a lot of tough off-season decisions to make, while all of the sudden hot Vikings are the team that nobody wants to play right now. This will be a test of wills as the Bears' run defense faces the Vikings' run offense and the physicality in the trenches should be very interesting. Plus, the Vikings are likely headed to the playoffs and Chicago would like nothing more than to embarrass them on national television. This game may come down to which quarterback, Tarvaris Jackson or Kyle Orton, manages the game best and doesn't turn the ball over.
