PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh Steelers receiver Hines Ward left Sunday's AFC Championship Game with a knee injury, and it was uncertain whether he would return.
Ward was hurt while being tackled by Frank Walker after an 11-yard reception with 6:54 left in the first quarter. Ward left the game for a while, but returned to make a catch on the first play of the second quarter.
But he was not a part of the Pittsburgh offense later in the period.
Ward left after making three catches for 55 yards. He led the Steelers during the regular season with 82 receptions for 1,047 yards.
