2013 NFL Power Rankings: Week 18

Updated: December 31, 2013, 3:04 PM ET

Hoping for one last shake-up? Well, it wasn't meant to be.

The Seahawks held serve in Week 17 with a home victory over St. Louis, securing the No. 1 spot in the final 2013 edition of ESPN.com's Power Rankings.

With little to discuss in terms of movement, let's shift our focus to the wild-card playoffs. Who among the teams playing this weekend appears best equipped to make a deep run?

Our voters (John Clayton, Ashley Fox, Dan Graziano, Jamison Hensley, Mike Sando and Kevin Seifert) have the most faith in San Francisco, which is No. 4 for the second straight week. The Saints are No. 6, followed by the Bengals (No. 7), Colts (No. 8), Chiefs (No. 10), Eagles (No. 11), Chargers (No. 12) and Packers (No. 13).

Of course, these rankings aren't always a harbinger. Last season, the eventual Super Bowl champion Ravens were No. 10 here after Week 17. In 2011, the Giants were No. 9 before winning it all.

So don't be too disappointed there wasn't upheaval to the end. The real wildness might be just beginning.
