2014 NFL Power Rankings: Week 12

Updated: November 18, 2014, 3:42 PM ET

For most of this season, the Broncos have been considered shoo-ins to win the AFC West. It's safe to say that's no longer the case.

After Denver's Week 11 dud in St. Louis and Kansas City's dramatic victory over Seattle, the division rivals are tied at 7-3. Are the Broncos, No. 1 here just three weeks ago, still superior in the eyes of ESPN's Power Panel (a group of more than 80 writers, editors and TV personalities)? Yes, but not by much.

Denver, which has now lost two of three, dropped one spot to No. 4. Kansas City, winners of five straight, jumped five spots to No. 5.

Will the Chiefs keep rising? After a Thursday night date at winless Oakland, they can gain more momentum by beating Denver in Week 13 -- a game that suddenly has major implications.
