2014 NFL Power Rankings: Week 4
We wrote here last week that Denver's hold on No. 1 was tenuous, and that certainly rang true in Week 3.
Seattle's latest victory over the Broncos -- a 26-20 overtime thriller -- put the champs back on top, where they resided the first two weeks of the season. Our Power Panel (a group of more than 80 writers, editors and TV personalities) now has Cincinnati at No. 2, followed by Denver, Philadelphia and Arizona. The Bengals and Eagles both received first-place votes.
The 49ers and Packers, popular Super Bowl picks in the preseason, are out of the top 10 for the first time. They were bumped by the Falcons (up eight spots to No. 9) and Bears (No. 8).
Does the Seahawks' new reign have legs? Thanks to a Week 4 bye, Russell Wilson & Co. have built-in security for the short term -- a far cry from what Denver faced a week ago. Washington gets the next crack at Seattle in Week 5.
