2015 NFL Power Rankings: Week 16

Updated: December 22, 2015, 12:58 PM ET

Week 15 was a success for everyone in our previous top 10 -- except the Broncos. After a second straight loss, Gary Kubiak's squad dropped three spots to No. 8, its lowest mark of the season.

Besides Denver's slide and Pittsburgh's two-spot jump to No. 4, the upper tier of these Power Rankings doesn't look much different. But the status quo could be significantly altered in Week 16, as the schedule features at least four games with shake-up potential.

The Jets (No. 10), who host the No. 3 Patriots, appear to have the biggest opportunity. A victory over 12-2 New England would likely put New York in contention for a top-five spot, rarefied air for a team that opened the 2015 season at No. 26. Green Bay (No. 6) would almost certainly crack the top five if it's able to knock off No. 2 Arizona, which has won eight straight.

Week 16 also pits the struggling Broncos against the Bengals (No. 5) on Monday night. A third consecutive Denver loss could put the team in jeopardy of being passed by teams such as Kansas City, the Jets and Minnesota. Another potential swing game is Washington-Philadelphia. The Redskins (No. 12) could take another step toward the NFC East crown -- and a potential top-10 spot here -- with a win. A loss would likely halt their momentum with ESPN's Power Panel.
