2009 NFL Power Rankings: Week 14

Updated: December 8, 2009, 2:14 PM ET

Perhaps Week 14 will bring some measure of chaos to ESPN.com's NFL Power Rankings.

The latest edition reveals the top 5 is unchanged from the Week 13 poll of our experts. The New Orleans Saints needed overtime to down the downtrodden Washington Redskins, but their heroics were enough to remain ahead of the No. 2 Indianapolis Colts. The Colts had an easier time dispatching the Tennessee Titans and remaining, like the Saints, unbeaten through 12 games.

The third-ranked Minnesota Vikings absorbed a 13-point loss at the Arizona Cardinals without losing ground in the poll. Their mettle will be tested in Week 14, however, when they play host to the fifth-rated Cincinnati Bengals. The San Diego Chargers, No. 4 once again, will try to defend their top-5 status while visiting the No. 10 Dallas Cowboys.

The Miami Dolphins were among the big movers this week, jumping five slots to No. 14 after rallying to beat the New England Patriots -- who fell five rungs to No. 11 as a result. In Week 14, the Dolphins visit the No. 13 Jacksonville Jaguars in a game that's important for wild-card playoff positioning as well as Florida bragging rights.
