Surprise: Despite turmoil in the top five, the king of the mountain seems awfully familiar.

Although the Indianapolis Colts suffered their first loss of the season, they remain the No. 1 team in the latest ESPN.com NFL Power Rankings. The Colts, who pulled many of their starters in the third quarter against the New York Jets as insurance for playoff health, were the unanimous top choice of our experts. Read about the voting here.

Entering the final week of regular-season play, the surging San Diego Chargers -- winners of their past 10 -- flip-flopped the Nos. 2 and 3 slots with the New Orleans Saints. The Saints are No. 3 despite suffering two consecutive home losses. The Philadelphia Eagles occupy the No. 4 slot -- up one from last week -- and play the No. 9 Dallas Cowboys in what amounts to the NFC East title game.

The Minnesota Vikings, reeling from a "Monday Night Football" overtime loss to the Chicago Bears, fell one rung to round out the top five.
