Cowboys cornerback Nolan Carroll was arrested for suspicion of DWI early Monday morning. The Cowboys are aware of the situation and gathering information, according to team spokesman. Carroll signed a three-year deal, $10 million deal with the club as a free agent in March.

From MLB's Eddie Grant in 1918 to the NFL's Pat Tillman in 2004, athletes from the major pro leagues were among those who died in overseas wars. Grant, a former infielder for Harvard and the Indians, Phillies, Reds and Giants died in France in World War I. Tillman, a star on defense for Arizona State and the Cardinals, enlisted after 9/11 and was killed in Afghanistan. On Memorial Day and always we remember with appreciation all who sacrificed for our safety and freedom.

Michael Vick clarified to me that he has not talked to anyone from the Falcons organization about signing a 1-day contract to retire as a Falcon. Just an idea that he hopes gets addressed. But no formal or informal discussions with the team just yet. Yes he wants to retire a Falcon.
