Another TD run for Tevin Coleman on the inside zone scheme. With the outside linebacker left unblocked -- and slow to close to the ball -- Coleman can bend the run back to space. It's now a 21-14 Falcons lead over the Saints.

Tevin Coleman with his second TD on a 2-yard run. This two-back system with Devonta Freeman working to perfection. All three scores by the backs. Falcons lead 21-14.

54 was the over-under for this game. 35 points scored with 5:31 left in the second quarter.

Yes it's vs Saints... but the changeover on Falcons OL is really paying off

Looked like Julio Jones came up a little hobbled on previous play. Jones came out of the game before Devonta Freeman's long run.

The Saints tied it at 14-14 in the second quarter on Drew Brees' TD pass to Michael Thomas. It's a pick-play with Thomas aligned on the outside of a stack formation. At the snap, the WR on the ball releases up the field (pick) with Thomas coming underneath on the quick slant. The Falcons didn't play with the proper technique or leverage to defend that route.

So Falcons get bitten after penalty on special teams. Justin Hardy roughing kicker gives Drew Brees ball back to drive 75 yards for a touchdown. Can't give Brees another chance like that. Tied at 14 now

Coby Fleener and rookie WR Michael Thomas now each have their first TD catch with Saints. A three-yard quick slant to Thomas ties the game 14-14. That was Thomas' first catch of the night. Fellow WR Brandon Coleman is also stepping up in Willie Snead's absence with three catches for 40 yards.

Excellent play call from the Falcons on Matt Ryan's TD pass to Devonta Freeman. That was basically a swing screen to beat man-coverage with the Falcons running Julio Jones underneath on the crossing route (removes the CB in coverage) and the tackle pulling out to block the linebacker. Easy toss for Ryan and a walk-in TD for Freeman.
