Cowboys coach Jason Garrett confirmed Dez Bryant missed treatments and team meetings on Monday-Wednesday because the receiver feared the knee injury was worse than suspected and did not want to face the decision. "It was the wrong thing to do,"Garrett said. Bryant has a tibial plateau fracture in his right leg. Garrett said Bryant would not practice today but Bryant is moving around better and not ruled out of playing Sunday.

Obviously, WR/KR Jalin Marshall (shoulder) is out. New WR/KR Jeremy Ross is on the field, as is new TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins.

Deion Jones joined Matt Ryan in earning an NFL honor. The second round draft pick from LSU was named the NFC's Defensive Rookie of the Month, punctuated by Jones' 90-yard interception return for a touchdown in a 45-32 win over his hometown New Orleans Saints. Ryan, who is tied for the league lead with a passer rating of 119.0, was named the NFC's Offensive Player of the Month.

Harris crashed into punt returner Tommylee Lewis in the first quarter against the Falcons, then compounded the problem by trying to scoop up the ball and fumbled it away.
