A sea of purple outside a London pub, where a rally with Ray Lewis and Jonathan Ogden will be held Saturday night. I have yet to see a Jaguars jersey in my two days in England.

Ray Lewis -- with a more subdued entrance than became his trademark -- is welcomed to a UK fan rally in London. If the shirts on show here are any guide, the Ravens will have the majority support at Wembley on Sunday for their 'road' game against the Jaguars.

The Saints are promoting undrafted rookie cornerback Arthur Maulet from the practice squad to the 53-man roster, per source. The move was expected since New Orleans only has three healthy cornerbacks after ruling out Marshon Lattimore and Sterling Moore for Sunday's game at Carolina. Maulet, a New Orleans native, had a strong training camp and likely would have made the roster if there wasn't so much depth at the position. ... That changed in a hurry.

Rams coach Sean McVay, asked Friday if he checks on how Aaron Donald is doing since they still haven't agreed on a deal: "I haven't sensed that's been a distraction. ... It's not like something every day where we're checking up. I just want to make sure -- and I know he knows this -- that while he's here, it doesn't mean we're not trying to proactively pursue a solution so that everybody can feel good about it. That's one of our priorities. That doesn't change, whether he's been here or not."

Is offensive coordinator Harold Goodwin getting the type of production out of the right side of the Cardinals' offensive line that he wants? "No, no I'm not. And they know it."

"I feel bad for Carson (Palmer) personally." -- Cardinals offensive coordinator Harold Goodwin said because of how quickly Palmer was getting hit Sunday in Indianapolis.

Josh Weinfuss ESPN Staff Writer

Cardinals offensive coordinator Harold Goodwin didn't have an explanation for why the offense has started slow the first two weeks of the season: "It's just been weird. Every game we go into we have the first 15 (plays scripted) and we've talked about it for a few days and we're just not doing it. We've got to get that fixed. We're talking about it. We're going to work on it like we've always done. We just got to get it done."

Rams coach Sean McVay told reporters in his day-after press conference that WRs Sammy Watkins and Tavon Austin remain in concussion protocol. DB Lamarcus Joyner (hamstring) and C John Sullivan (groin) are day-to-day.

Defensive coordinator Dennis Allen said the Saints' youth and inexperience on defense is “part of the challenge that we have in front of us. But ... we've got to go out there and put those guys in a position where they know exactly what to do and can be able to go out and execute. I think that's our job as coaches.” Allen said the defense has had “good energy' this week despite the early struggles. “I think the biggest message is we have to keep grinding and get ourselves out of this hole. That's part of the NFL, you're going to face adversity, and how you respond to that's going to be critical to your success.”

Final Jets injury report: They're optimistic that DE Mo Wilkerson (shoulder) will play. On Wednesday, Wilkerson said he's not concerned. Coach Todd Bowles seemed somewhat encouraged today. If TE Will Tye (illness) can't play, it'll create a bigger workload for Austin Seferian-Jenkins, who makes his season debut. That's not ideal; they'd like to bring him back in a modified role.

The Lions are known for their QB and passing game. Their defense is probably underrated. Detroit has held opponents to 20 or fewer points 11 times since the start of last season. That is tied for second in the NFL behind only the New England Patriots (12).

The Patriots had the following players in for free-agent workouts: WR Corey "Philly" Brown, DT Stefan Charles, DE Lamar Houston, QB Taylor Heinicke (signing to practice squad), WR Tavares King and WR Riley McCarron (signed to practice squad).

Patriots rookie LB/DE Harvey Langi was fined $9,115 for unnecessary roughness (face mask on special teams) in Sunday's win over the Saints. It was his first NFL play.

Todd Archer ESPN Staff Writer

Not only did Terrance Williams not practice because of an ankle injury Friday but fellow wide receiver Brice Butler was limited because of ankle injury as well.

Rich Cimini ESPN Staff Writer

Jets CB Buster Skrine was fined $24,309 for unnecessary roughness (helmet-to-helmet) on Raiders RB DeAndre Washington.

The Patriots are signing quarterback Taylor Heinicke to their practice squad, per a source. Heinicke, of Old Dominion, entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Vikings in 2015. In New England, he adds a third layer of depth at quarterback, as the Patriots only have two players at the position in Tom Brady and Jimmy Garoppolo.

On the 49ers' pass rush against the Rams, coach Kyle Shanahan said it "wasn't good enough" and that "our guys didn't win." Niners leaned on four-man rush more often than not and didn't have nearly the success they had in Seattle against the Rams. In fact, the 49ers finished with no sacks and three quarterback hits.
