Would expect the Patriots to run a bunch of Cover 3 beaters (three-deep, four-under zone) versus the Jags in the AFC Championship. This example (see below) allows QB Tom Brady to work the inside seams (Rob Gronkowski and Chris Hogan) with the shallow cross underneath (Brandin Cooks). The outside receivers? Basically decoys to hold the CBs (open up the windows to target the seam routes).

The Seahawks announced several moves with their coaching staff on Tuesday, most of which had already been reported. Brian Schottenheimer is the new offensive coordinator, Mike Solari is the new offensive-line coach and Ken Norton Jr. replaces Kris Richard as the defensive coordinator. Additionally, Michael Barrow has been fired as linebackers coach. That had not been previously reported. Barrow had the title of assistant head coach/defense, which means Pete Carroll has replaced his top two assistants on each side of the ball.

Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner will not play in the Pro Bowl. The Buccaneers announced that Kwon Alexander was added to the NFC roster as Wagner's replacement. Wagner dealt with a hamstring injury for the second half of this past season. He was one of four Seahawks initially named to the Pro Bowl. The others: quarterback Russell Wilson, tight end Jimmy Graham and free safety Earl Thomas. Wide receiver Doug Baldwin was added as an injury replacement.

Bengals long snapper Clark Harris is going to the Pro Bowl. Long snappers aren't voted into the Pro Bowl, so Harris was chosen by the Steelers coaching staff.

Good news for disgruntled Jets fans: The team announced that season-ticket prices for 2018 will decrease by an average of 11 percent. More than half the seats at MetLife Stadium will have price decreases and the price for the other seats will stay the same. Fans now will have the option to purchase a season ticket in the mezzanine without PSL benefits. According to the Jets, the average ticket price will be the lowest since the stadium opened in 2010 — the last year they made the playoffs.

Asked about comments to Tony Dungy creating perception that it's OK for teams to look ahead, Mike Tomlin went in on a self-proclaimed ‘soapbox.'

Detroit Lions linebacker Jarrad Davis and punt returner Jamal Agnew were both named to the Pro Football Writers Association All-Rookie team Tuesday. Davis was the Lions' first round pick in 2017 and Agnew, who has also been named an All-Pro by the PFWA, was a fifth-round pick. Agnew was also named a first-team All-Pro by the Associated Press earlier this month.

Mike Solari has served as the primary offensive-line coach for five teams over 19 seasons. Here's how Solari's teams have finished in rushing over his last three stops: Giants (2016-17) were 29th and 26th; 49ers (2010-14) were 19th, eighth, fourth, third and fourth; Seahawks (2008-09) were 19th and 26th (under Mike Holmgren and Jim L. Mora). There's a lot of variance there, but the best of those results came with a team that Pete Carroll's Seahawks faced twice a season. That's probably no coincidence.

Ben Roethlisberger on weekly show: Body and mind feel good for another year, not committing to beyond 2018 based on his preparation process, ‘I'm sorry' to Steelers fans for not getting it done.

The Browns are interviewing former Giants coach Ben McAdoo today as they continue searching for an offensive coordinator.

Ben Roethlisberger doesn't sound like a QB who wants OC Todd Haley gone. Said on weekly radio show the least player/coach change with ‘special' group, the better. "We're on the cusp," he said. Met with Haley at length Monday and two felt good about their work together.

Saints punter Thomas Morstead said he was diagnosed with torn cartilage, not broken ribs. Said it bruised his ego because it "doesn't sound as cool," but doctors assured him it hurts just as much. Said he felt better after a local shot, but it still hurt to punt. But he said he figured a bad punt would hurt just as much as a good punt, so he might as well hit some good ones.

Tom Brady previewed Patriots-Jaguars on his weekly interview on sports radio WEEI: "It's been a busy couple days. We practiced against them in training camp and we haven't seen much of them all year. Yesterday was a ton of film. It was good because it really kind of gets you focused on where you need to be. This is the biggest challenge we've faced all year. We've had a good offense. They've had the best defense. And that's always a challenge when you go up against those guys. When you watch them play over the course of the season, you can see why. There is not a lot of time for the quarterback to throw, and I think the whole secondary knows it. The linebackers know it. And they're aggressive. They take chances. They get a lot of turnovers. They have a really good scheme, and the quarterback is just under pressure all day."

Seahawks defensive end Cliff Avril told the NFL Network that he hasn't given up hope on resuming his football career, saying he'll try to play again. Avril had disc surgery after suffering a season-ending neck injury in October. If he is able to come back, there's no guarantee it would be with the Seahawks. Avril's future with the team was already going to be a question before his injury. He'll be 32 in April and is scheduled to make $7 million in salary in 2018, the final year of his deal.

Ken Norton Jr. was well-liked among Seahawks players, particularly the linebackers he coached, during his five seasons with the team. One of those linebackers, K.J. Wright, posted a picture to Instagram on Monday of he and Norton on the practice field. The caption: "Time to finish what we started! Welcome back coach."
