Le'Veon Bell's plan was to utilize period between bye week and the Browns game to start to make his return. If not in Pittsburgh by some time next week, perhaps something has changed in his approach. ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter reports the Steelers do not expect Bell this week.

Cooper Kupp will likely miss the upcoming game against the 49ers.

Mason Crosby, who missed five kicks last week at Detroit, made from 35, 38, 44, 48, 54 going toward the South end zone. The 58-yarder was tough to tell. Going the other direction, he was short from 56.

After a week of injury questions the 49ers will have TE George Kittle, RB Matt Breida, WR Pierre Garcon, C Weston Richburg, OT Joe Staley and G Mike Person tonight against the Packers. Breida, who was battling an ankle injury, continues to defy the odds after coach Kyle Shanahan called him doubtful last week.
