The low flying jets that buzzed the Panthers' practice on Monday were not practicing for a flyover for a game as first reported: Here is a statement from the FAA: "The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is looking into reports that a flight of four U.S. Air Force A-10 aircraft flew at a low altitude over the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, NC, late this morning. FAA Air Traffic Controllers approved the pilots' request to fly over the stadium after they departed from Charlotte Douglas International Airport at 11:35 am. The flight was headed to Valdosta, GA. An FAA employee incorrectly told an official at Charlotte Douglas International Airport that the flight was a practice flyover for a football game."

Who knows if Jeff Janis can play receiver with a club cast on his right hand? But Ron Zook thinks Janis could play on special teams with it. "If they'll let him, I think he can," the Packers special teams coordinator said. "He was running around out there today. Other than the club, he looked pretty good to me. Can he make a tackle I guess would be the biggest question to me?"

Cardinals coach Bruce Arians' full quote on Colin Kaepernick's decision to not stand for the Star-Spangled Banner over the weekend: "I respect his right as an American. Freedom of speech is one thing. I disagree with it. I want to stand and cheer for all the people who've lost their life of every race and religion, gender, defending that flag. So it's not my opinion, but I respect his right."

The Cowboys have placed defensive lineman Shaneil Jenkins (knee), linebacker James Morris (shoulder) and cornerback Jeremiah McKinnon on waived/injured list. Cornerback Josh Thomas (thumb) was placed on injured reserve.

More from Drew Brees on Colin Kaepernick: "I think the important point to make here is that flag symbolizes, represents the freedoms that you have the chance as an American to exercise. So sitting down for that, that is a blatant disrespect of the freedoms that that gives you. Like it's an oxymoron that you're sitting down, disrespecting that flag that has given you the freedom to speak out."
