Under the policy, a dilute sample is considered the equivalent of a positive test. There are no fines or suspensions until a player reaches Stage Two of the program.

The Lions have typically been a secretive team since Bob Quinn took over as general manager, so this is a bit of a change in Detroit. This was first reported by Sports Illustrated.

With only a couple days until the draft, the Bears have a variety of options with their third overall pick. Chicago is likely to attempt to trade the 3rd choice and move back, but if that doesn't happen, the Bears are expected to have several defensive options at No. 3. Their first choice would be Stanford's Solomon Thomas, but if he's off the board, the Bears will likely consider Jamal Adams, Marshon Lattimore or Malik Hooker.

Ben Roethlisberger saying 'I'm proud to call Findlay (Ohio) home" at the Hancock Co. Sports Hall of Fame on Saturday was bound to be well-received. Pat Garlock, Hancock committee member, told ESPN before the event that the city is proud of Roethlisberger. "He wanted to make amends and wants to be a part of the community," she said. Roethlisberger admitted at the event he let 'negative things' said by locals years ago cloud the support he received by many others, according to The (Findlay) Courier.

Jets GM Mike Maccagnan, speaking Monday in his annual pre-draft news conference, declined to say whether they will exercise the fifth-year option for S Calvin Pryor. The deadline is May 3. The salary amount hasn't been announced yet by the league, but it will be at least $5.676 million -- the 2016 amount for safeties. The salary is guaranteed for injury only, and doesn't become fully guaranteed until next March.
