Rams QB Jared Goff, who grew up near San Francisco, started a GoFundMe page to help those affected by California wildfires. Seeing what J.J. Watt did for Hurricane Harvey victims "gave me an idea," he said.

The Seahawks' practice report lists DL Michael Bennett (heel) as not participating today despite coach Pete Carroll saying yesterday that he likely would. Bennett said earlier in the day that he plans on playing Sunday against the Giants. He's dealing with what Carroll previously called a plantar fascia foot injury. CB Jeremy Lane, who hasn't played since injuring his groin in the first quarter of Week 4, also missed practice today.

Rams coach Sean McVay said DB Lamarcus Joyner, who missed the last three weeks with a hamstring injury, will play on Sunday "if everything goes according to plan." ILB Mark Barron (thumb) and S Cody Davis (thigh) sat out practice, but the Rams have a chance to be fully healthy near the midway point of the season. "Very fortunate," said McVay, who credited the training staff.

Kenny Vaccaro on whether it's hard to prepare for a player like Brett Hundley (Aaron Rodgers' injury replacement) without having much film on him: “Yeah. But at the same time, I'd rather do that than prepare for Superman.”

49ers DL Ronald Blair, who has been on injured reserve with a hand injury, participated in practice on Wednesday. Blair is expected to be one of two Niners brought back from injured reserve this year and with his practice window now open, he could return as soon as Week 9.

One thing Rams QB Jared Goff would like to improve on from Sunday is "throwing the ball down the field." "I was disappointed we didn't hit any of those deep balls," he said. Asked specifically about connecting with Sammy Watkins (10 targets and 2 catches the last 3 weeks), Goff said: "We've done it before; I don't think we need to change anything. Just continue to get reps, try to dial it in, and be more consistent. But we've done it before."

Marcus Mariota was a full participant in Wednesday's practice for the first time since injuring his hamstring. Good news for the Titans heading north for a game at Cleveland on Sunday.

Jets coach Todd Bowles insisted that Mo Wilkerson (pictured) and Leonard Williams are "playing well" even though they have no sacks. Bowles got testy when pressed: "Nobody is playing great. When you're 3-3, you're playing average football. It has nothing to do with Mo or Leonard. It has to do with our entire team. I'm not going to sit here and make excuses about two guys when we have 11 guys in each side of the ball. If you want to nitpick, go for it. I've made my comment. Take it or leave it."

Even without Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees said a trip to Lambeau Field is a good test for the Saints on their current three-game win streak. "Winning feels good. Winning cures a lot of ails. But we still don't know how good we can be," Brees said.

The Saints got a visit from Carli Lloyd and other members of the U.S. Women's national soccer team during Wednesday's practice as they prepare for a friendly match against the Korea Republic in New Orleans (photo courtesy of the Saints on Twitter). "They've inspired a nation on many occasions, with the way that they play," Saints QB Drew Brees said. "You can feel the team camaraderie, and man they're exciting to watch, they're fun to watch."

Jets injury report: Bilal Powell made it to the practice field -- he didn't last week -- but still didn't take part in team drills. He remains a question mark. Mo Wilkerson appears to be on a no-practice, play-on-Sunday routine. Robby Anderson hurt his ankle Sunday and finished the game, usually an encouraging sign.

"Every loss hurts just as much, whether you lose by one or by 40," said Bucs head coach Dirk Koetter. "Anyone who is in a competitive business and competes for a living, when you get your ass kicked, it's not a good feeling. It takes a while. It takes a while to get it out."
