Cowboys defensive tackle Maliek Collins was limited in practice with a hip flexor but Stephen Jones said the team doesn't believe it is anything major. Defensive end Charles Tapper was not able to do everything because of cramps.

Everything felt good, but we have a long way to go to get where I know we can be. Tonight was just fun getting out on the grass in front of the fans and throwing it around a little bit."

Rams rookie safety John Johnson has arrived. He split his time at free safety and strong safety during the offseason program and says he's comfortable at both. On defensive coordinator Wade Phillips: "He's the man, and he knows he's the man."

Jaylon Smith runs off Cowboys practice field early. Garrett had said he would be limited. He had participated in every drill so far today, in his first time in full pads since 2016 Fiesta Bowl.

Cowboys linebacker. Jaylon Smith took four snaps in play-action drills. He did not make a tackle but he took on blocks from offensive linemen and tight ends without any issue. He did not take any snaps in one on one work.

Panthers quarterback Cam Newton opens this session of team drills with a nice completion to Kelvin Benjamin over the middle. He comes right back and completes a pass to Devin Funchess on a similar crossing route. Opens this series 4-4. No sign of being limited thus far.
