Taking a tablet to a ref for a quicker replay review sounds great. But have you ever tried watching one in the glare of the sun? It's not a great scenario for seeing things clearly.

Does NFL really believe current system, where almost all $ bet on sports in US is done in unregulated market, better protects integrity?

David Payne Purdum @DavidPurdum

An expanded legal sports betting market in the U.S., overseen by licensed officials, will only help protect the integrity of the NFL, imo.

NFL took great pains to keep the Raiders out of LA. They're too popular here. Would hurt the other team that moved. But is Vegas too close?

LA-area Raider fans definitely more apt to go to Vegas for games than Carson for Chargers games. Question is how it affects Rams now

The Redskins proposal to stop using the color rush jerseys for Thursday night games might get tabled until May, team president Bruce Allen said. The Redskins introduced the bylaw change and used two words as the reason why: garish uniforms. But Allen said the league might not vote on the measure in Phoenix this week, instead waiting until meetings in May.

Redskins president Bruce Allen re-iterated Sunday night from Phoenix that the team does not want to trade quarterback Kirk Cousins and still believes it can work out a long-term deal. There have been no new offers in a month, one source said. But Allen pointed to options the team has to keep Cousins around for 2018 as well – the franchise tag at $34.5 million or the transition tag at $28 million. Allen said he would not trade Cousins just to get something in return. If he leaves via free agency after 2018, then the Redskins would only receive a third-round compensatory pick.
