First two draft picks Myles Garrett and Jabrill Peppers not taking part today. Update after practice, but nothing believed to be serious. It is the offseason.

Redskins first-round pick Jonathan Allen worked with the No. 3 line in the 11-on-11 work. Do not read too much into it: the Redskins rotated their linemen throughout the session.

Back in March, Pete Carroll talked about Colin Kaepernick's effectiveness as a quarterback. "We've really seen him at his best, and we've seen him be a very difficult factor to deal with. The last couple of years, the offense has been changing, and they've had new coaches and all kinds of stuff. I don't think he's found that level that he found when he was with Jim [Harbaugh] that they were really on it. But it's there to be had, and I think he's a difficult guy to play against. We've always found that. We've given respect to that whenever we've had to play them."

Redskins linebacker Junior Galette took a snap in the first 11 on 11 drill with the nickel package. He's coming back from consecutive missed sessions with Achilles injuries.

The jersey number 11 looks different this season for Washington: the last three years it belonged to DeSean Jackson. Now it's Terrelle Pryor's number. He'll have to replace Jackson's production as well.

Newly signed Jason McCourty wearing No. 35.

Ezekiel Elliott did not suffer any significant injuries in car accident Sunday, but Cowboys are being cautious now holding him out of OTAs.

Running back Samaje Perine will be one to watch for the Redskins. The fourth-round pick will help the short-yardage and red zone offense if nothing else. The question will be if he can unseat starter Rob Kelley.

Among the Redskins missing today: tackle Trent Williams, running back Matt Jones and tight end Jordan Reed. The workouts are voluntary.

Brick Osweiler (17) on the field with other Browns quarterbacks during offseason practices.

In the letter NFL commissioner Roger Goodell sent to fans on Tuesday citing celebrations that won't be penalized in 2017 he used a Kelvin Benjamin-Devin Funchess celebration during the Panthers' Week 2 win against San Francisco last season. Benjamin and Funchess each were docked $12,154 for their orchestrated dance after Benjamin's third-quarter touchdown catch. If you missed the dance, it began with Benjamin doing a little side-step move and his fellow wide receiver joined in. Funchess was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct.
