The Uber driver accusing Jameis Winston of assaulting her was initially not planning to file a lawsuit. I'm told that things changed based off what she felt was a lack of contrition on his part and his denials of wrongdoing (he also said she was "mistaken" about his position in the vehicle and the number of passengers). Winston's representatives told me that they anticipated the lawsuit. It did not come as a surprise.

Correction: The Rams have waived safety Isaiah Johnson from the active roster, which is now down to 51 players with RG Jamon Brown on a roster exemption. OT Darrell Williams Jr. has been added to the practice squad after a tryout today, the team announced.

I can confirm that the Uber driver who accused Jameis Winston of assaulting her has filed a lawsuit. In it, the driver claims Winston "grabbed her vagina with his hand" and said she "suffered damages in the nature of emotional distress and future therapy expenses." Details coming.

As part of their standard process of updating emergency lists, the Patriots hosted QB Kyle Allen, RB Andre Ellington and RB Charcandrick West on workouts Tuesday. In addition, the Patriots re-signed WR Jace Billingsley to their practice squad, while placing WR Riley McCarron on practice squad/injured reserve.
