The Giants' release of PK Josh Brown accomplishes nothing but the deserved rejection of a domestic abuser. The most significant takeaway from this episode is that the NFL is a long way from effectively addressing the issue within its policies and purview. The primary question is unanswered: Can the NFL find a way to demonstrate -- not say it, but show it -- that domestic violence is intolerable?
