Mike Mularkey on Marcus Mariota's recovery now that he is out of the boot: "You would not know he had an injury, there is no limp or gait in his walk. I think he's right on schedule, if not ahead." No big pronouncement on changing timetable. Intention has been to hold him out of off-season. "If he's ready, we'll see what he can do. We'll allow him to do what he's capable of doing."

Jamison Hensley ESPN Staff Writer

Ravens coach John Harbaugh on soon-to-be 65-year-old Bill Belichick: "I don't think he is slowing down. The guy is winning rings. He's stumbling over all the rings he's winning. He's the best, and it's not surprising to see him work as hard as he does."

Pat McManamon ESPN Staff Writer

In discussing how the Browns could address the quarterback position, Hue Jackson mentioned the draft, then added: "There's trade opportunities hopefully. I think we'll exhaust every opportunity as we go forward."

Bill O'Brien said while there are some good quarterbacks in the draft, he thinks "it's tough to play quarterback as a rookie in our league." "I think that's a tough task," O'Brien said. "I think that there's no substitute for experience so I think it's hard to ask a guy to come in straight from college and Day 1, he's a starter on your team."

Bill O'Brien said the Texans are still in the process of figuring out who Houston will pair with for training practice joint practices, but they'll hold at least one.

Jaguars CB Jalen Ramsey also said there shouldn't be any doubt which CB will draw the opponents' No. 1 receiver. Newly-signed AJ Bouye said he wasn't sure if it would be him or Ramsey. "Ya'll know the answer to that question," Ramsey said. He also said he's excited about the addition of Bouye. Says they'll push each other and make each other better.

Chargers coach Anthony Lynn, speaking between bites of bacon and scrambled eggs, had some nice things to say about the Rams' new offensive line coach, Aaron Kromer, whom he worked with in Buffalo. "I think Krome's one of the better offensive-line coaches in the game," he said. "He's an excellent teacher, he has a good relationship with his players, and I think he got the most out of them (with the Bills). It was very easy to put together plans with him. He gets it. It was a pleasure to work with him."

Pat McManamon ESPN Staff Writer

Hue Jackson explained why he prefers a private workout when evaluating a quarterback over the player's pro day. Jackson said a private workout is "where you get the player to do exactly what it is you want to see him do as opposed to him coming there with his quarterback coach, it's all scripted. It's exactly how they want it." A private workout gives coaches more opportunity to challenge players.

Bill O'Brien said even though the Texans haven't added free agents, they're "doing a lot of things on the inside to improve." "Every team has their own way of doing things," O'Brien said. "We're doing things to improve our team. Maybe you don't see it, but we're doing a lot of things on the inside to improve our team. There's still a lot of time left. … It's a fluid process. It takes a lot of time to put a team together. We have a lot of time here. We have the draft, we have training camp. We're a long way away from what that 53-man roster is going to look like."

Michael DiRocco ESPN Staff Writer
