Marcus Mariota: "That's the blueprint for how we can be successful this year."

Rich Cimini ESPN Staff Writer

Inactive tonight for the Jets: RB Matt Forte, WR Lucky Whitehead, WR Marquess Wilson, CB Xavier Coleman, LB Lorenzo Mauldin, LB Frank Beltre, WR Quincy Enunwa and WR Dan Williams. No surprises here.

John Keim ESPN Staff Writer

Receiver Josh Doctson is in uniform for tonight's game vs. Green Bay and going through pre-game warmups. He had a good camp before his hamstring injury so it'll be interesting to see how he looks in his first action of the preseason.

Michael Rothstein ESPN Staff Writer

Kenny Golladay hasn't played in a NFL game that counts yet. But in his first home game, at least one fan of his made the trip -- complete with a Northern Illinois Golladay jersey.

Sarah Barshop ESPN Staff Writer

While he was warming up, J.J. Watt ran over to the stands and to the kids on the sideline and played a game of catch with a few.

David Newton ESPN Staff Writer

Panthers coach Ron Rivera hopes Cam Newton will be ready to make his preseason debut in Thursday night's game at Jacksonville. "We're going to increase his throwing [next week],'' Rivera said after Newton sat out of Saturday's loss to the Titans while rehab on his surgically-repaired shoulder continues. "He had a really good week this week. . . . He's on target. We're happy with it.''

Cameron Wolfe ESPN

Mike Mularkey said he made an "executive decision" on DeMarco Murray not playing today. Rishard Matthews was not here for personal reasons. Mularkey said he does not anticipate Corey Davis playing next week at this point.

John Keim ESPN Staff Writer

It's just a preseason game but the Packers fans still show up on the road. There's a decent amount of Green Bat jerseys in the stands behind the Packers' bench.

Adam Teicher ESPN Staff Writer

The Chiefs during practice this week put an emphasis on controlling the line of scrimmage tonight against the Bengals. The Chiefs rushed for 21 yards on 13 carries last week against the 49ers, not counting Alex Smith's 10-yard scramble. Meanwhile, the Chiefs allowed 188 rushing yards and a 5.2 yard per carry average. The starters tonight will play as much as the first half. On defense, nose tackle Bennie Logan will play for the first time in the preseason after missing last week's game because of a sore knee.

Michael Rothstein ESPN Staff Writer

Jamal Agnew, Jace Billingsley, TJ Jones, Keshawn Martin and Jared Abbrederis all working at punt returns in pregame. That's been the usual competition so far.

David Newton ESPN Staff Writer

Panthers coach Ron Rivera on Christian McCaffrey's touchdown run: "Just the explosiveness. You always hold your breath when he's got the football, especially when he's got space.''

Katherine Terrell ESPN Staff Writer

John Ross is warming up in pads with the other WRs like last week but he won't play tonight as they ease him back in. Finally got to do team drills in practice last week.

Sarah Barshop ESPN Staff Writer

QB Tom Savage is warming up on the field. He is expected to start for the Texans tonight.

Rich Cimini ESPN Staff Writer

A couple of challenges tonight for the Jets: The Lions play at a fast pace -- they used a lot of no-huddle last week -- so that will test the Jets' ability to communicate on defense and get lined up quickly. The offense will have to deal with crowd noise at Ford Field. It won't be regular-season loud, but it could put some stress on the offense. They practiced all week with artificial crowd noise.

John Keim ESPN Staff Writer

Receiver Josh Doctson is going through pre-game warmups and running well. There's been no official word on if he'll play tonight after missing time with a hamstring injury.

Carlos Nava Columnist, ESPN Deportes

El tackle izquierdo de los Cowboys Tyron Smith si jugará está noche vs. Indianapolis Colts, a pesar de que ha entrenado poco por molestias en la espalda. Pic gente en el estadio cuando falta menos de una hora para el kickoff.

Michael Rothstein ESPN Staff Writer

You can choose to own a large Barry Sanders bobblehead, but it will cost you. Cost you a decent amount of money.

David Newton ESPN Staff Writer

The Panthers started this one with a turnover and it appears this one will be decided by that Garrett Gilbert strip sack. Titans retake the lead 34-27 on a 3-yard touchdown run up the middle. You can bet the three turnovers will be a big part of Ron Rivera's postgame talk.

Michael Rothstein ESPN Staff Writer

Joique Bell, Anquan Boldin and DeAndre Levy are among the bargain rack jerseys in the Lions team store. Only Boldin (Buffalo) is presently on a team.

Shawn Fitzgerald ESPN Producer

Suspended Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott warming up before the preseason game against the Colts.

David Newton ESPN Staff Writer

Once down 17-0, the Panthers have tied this one at 27-27. Coach Ron Rivera still can't like the sloppiness of the first half, the first quarter for sure. But he has to like the way his backups have fought back.
