Seahawks linebacker K.J. Wright and tight end Ed Dickson practiced Monday for the first time since the start of the season. Pete Carroll said both were limited. Wright has been recovering from arthroscopic knee surgery while Dickson has been on NFI with a quad injury. The team hopes they'll be available for Sunday's game at Detroit. Carroll said Dickson should be able to play barring any setbacks this week. "Really, this is just kind of a break-the-ice day for them," Carroll said. "They've been working really hard so that this isn't a big jump for them. That's part of their rehab, particularly for Ed, who's had a long time to work at this. He's been running really hard so he should not feel like it's a big step for him to get back on the practice field. He should be able to play extensively [this] weekend if he makes it through the week." Carroll said defensive end Rasheem Green (ankle) and tight end Nick Vannett (back) practiced Monday as well.

Interesting comments today from QB Sam Darnold, coming off a rough outing. One positive, he said, was that he was on time with a lot of his throws. The negative: "I just think continuing to lock in on my progressions and really stick on one side of the field and understand what the safeties are doing, and what the defense is doing, a little better." No, he didn't mean "lock on" his receivers; he meant focus on his reads. He added: "Whether I throw it to the right guy or whether I make the wrong read, I've just got to throw every ball with confidence. I think that's my next step."
