The Bills have signed QB Austin Trainor, his agent David Canter announced on Twitter. Trainor, who played at West Georgia, tried out for the Bills during rookie minicamp in 2015. The team was without Cardale Jones (shoulder soreness) in last Friday's game in Washington.

Romo is willing, but is his body able?

Steelers also placed quarterback Dustin Vaughan on the Waived/Injured list and released eight players - linebackers Jordan Zumwalt and Mike Reilly, wide receivers Issac Blakeney and Levi Norwood, tight end Michael Cooper, defensive end Giorgio Newberry, defensive tackle Khaynin Mosley-Smith, and cornerback Julian Whigham. NFL teams must reduce their rosters to 75 players by 4 p.m. Tuesday. The Steelers are at 79.

Steelers fourth-round rookie tackle Jerald Hawkins (shoulder) to injured reserve. Injury was always season-threatening but he tried to rehab for a few weeks to see if he could return.

Adam Schefter reports the Falcons are signing Dashon Goldson. As coach Dan Quinn said yesterday, Goldson would have to accept a reserve role with rookie Keanu Neal the starter upon returning from knee scope and Kemal Ishmael expected to fill in for Neal once Ishmael fully returns from shoulder injury. Ishmael expected to return to practice this afternoon on a limited basis.
