It's worth noting that following the Dolphins' pending trade for Jaguars TE Julius Thomas for a seventh-round pick, Miami's front office (pictured) will have just four picks remaining in this year's draft. That would set a new team record for fewest draft selections in a given year. However, Miami could be due for at least one or two compensatory picks next month.

With the pending acquisition of former Jaguars TE Julius Thomas, the Dolphins now can scratch a big need off their offseason to-do list. Other big needs for Miami include linebacker and guard.

The Cowboys have restructured the contracts of All-Pro left tackle Tyron Smith and All-Pro center Travis Frederick, freeing up roughly $17.3 million, moving them under a proposed salary-cap of $168 million for 2017, according to sources. The total cap will be finalized by March 9 when the league year begins. The Cowboys turned roughly $21 million of the $24 million due Smith and Frederick into signing bonus to create the room. Smith was set to make $10 million in 2017, while Frederick was set to make $14.221 million.
