OVERHEARD: "You got some ice for that shoulder," Titans fan to Cam Newton after Adoree' Jackson breaks up on a Newton pass during 1-on-1s. A couple of plays later after CAR's O gets a win Newton barks back to the fan: "You got some ice for that mouth." After the drill, he went back to find the fan and chirp a little more: "That's one I heard before. Tell me something I ain't ever hear." Banter is still going in between Cam's individual work with trainers.

Cam Newton opens 7-on-7 passing drills against the Titans, according to NFL Nation reporter Cameron Wolfe. Panthers coach Ron Rivera didn't rule out Newton for Saturday's preseason game against Tennessee but it would surprise me if the 2015 NFL Player of the Year took a snap.

The Browns have joined with the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission in submitting a bid to host the 2019 or 2020 NFL Draft in Northeast Ohio. The bid is timed around the league's centennial and would involve the city (Canton) where the NFL was founded.

No word on whether Aaron Rodgers will play Saturday at Washington. Coach Mike McCarthy said there are a handful of players that he's unsure whether they will play because of health issues and that will "directly impact the play time of other players, including the quarterback position."

Rams injury report: Several corners were down, including Kayvon Webster, Nickell Robey-Coleman and Mike Jordan. Webster has a bum ankle, but Sean McVay said none of the injuries at that position are serious. The Rams are bringing free agent Leodis McKelvin in for a workout tomorrow nonetheless.

Best play from Rams camp today: It was the very first play of 11-on-11. Sammy Watkins ran a post route. Jared Goff's throw was zipping towards him, and at the very last second, Watkins sprung his hands up and came down with the ball. Goff couldn't help but express awe. "You try not to, but then kind of turn around at everyone like, 'Everyone see that?'"

Best play of the day: Rookie tight end Ricky Seals-Jones had an impressive touchdown catch from fellow rookie, quarterback Trevor Knight. Seals-Jones ran his route toward the goal line up the seam of the defense and turned outside. Knight's pass appeared to be a little further outside than expected so Seals-Jones had to rotate his body more to make the acrobatic catch.

Overheard at camp: "Everybody has a good day. Everybody has a bad day." – Cardinals coach Bruce Arians on the rollercoaster of a training camp the wide receivers, who have come under intense criticism recently, have had this year.

Today's injury report: Left tackle D.J. Humphries (hamstring) was expected to "get extended work" on Wednesday afternoon. Outside linebacker Jarvis Jones is still out with a back injury. Coach Bruce Arians said the first epidural Jones received did not work. "We may have to do another one," he said. Linebacker Philip Wheeler has been out with a foot injury. Arians said Wheeler is close and could be out for another week. Arians feels like linebacker Josh Bynes' hamstring injury is setting him back. "He flashed and like most guys you get off the street, they think they're in shape but they're not in football shape." Outside linebacker Markus Golden has a sore foot.

Todd Archer ESPN Staff Writer

Today's injury report at camp: Linebacker Anthony Hitchens suffered a bloody nose after getting hit in the face but was able to return without any issue. Rookie cornerback Marquez White (hamstring) returned to practice on a limited basis and recorded an interception. Defensive end David Irving missed his second straight day with an ankle injury.

Play of the day at camp: Cole Beasley had as productive a day as he has had all camp, but he might have made one of the catches of camp too. In seven on seven drills, Beasley was working the back line of the end zone and Dak Prescott threw behind him intentionally away from the defender. Beasley was able to twist backward, make the catch going to the ground and keep his feet inbounds.
