The Seahawks are signing former 2014 Eagles first-round pick Marcus Smith, a source tells Adam Schefter. Smith appeared in 37 games during three seasons with the Eagles before being waived this week. He had four career sacks. In Seattle, Smith will likely see reps at SAM linebacker, and the coaches will see if they can help him find a way to develop his pass rush. Smith was on the field for 21.6 percent of the Eagles' defensive snaps last year and 40.9 percent of their special-teams snaps. That's where he'll have to make an impact to stick on the 53-man roster.

Dolphins HC Adam Gase said rookie CB Cordrea Tankersley overheated in practice and that was the reason he was taken inside.
