Jets backup QB Bryce Petty HS replaced Geno Smith (two possessions) with 7:21 left in the third quarter.

Titans 20, Raiders 14 (HALFTIME): Oakland first string defense allows TD, FG, FG, TD in four first-half series while offense looks smooth. Time to get Derek Carr out of game and put him in bubble wrap for rest of preseason, methinks.

Paul Kuharsky ESPN Staff Writer

TITANS 20, RAIDERS 14 (Halftime): The Titans offense played a quality half in Oakland, with 170 yards passing, 108 yards rushing, and 16 first downs. They twice settled for Ryan Succop field goals, though. The secondary, missing CB Perrish Cox, has struggled again and remains a primary issue. The Raiders have also done some good work moving the ball.

Jordan Raanan ESPN Staff Writer

Victor Cruz makes his first catch in 685 days on the first play of the second half. It was Cruz's 27th snap of the game.

Rich Cimini ESPN Staff Writer

Jets LB David Harris (shoulder) is out for the remainder of the game. He's the QB of the defense. Can't afford to lose him.

Jamison Hensley ESPN Staff Writer

Ravens RB Kenneth Dixon suffered a knee sprain and won't return to the game

Alden Gonzalez ESPN Staff Writer

Todd Gurley is without pads on the sidelines. He will not play, which means he will have gone 23 days without game time by the Week 1 opener.

Rich Cimini ESPN Staff Writer

Jets 7, Giants 0 (HALFTIME): The Jets can feel good about their defense, which has dominated in every aspect. Big plays by Darrelle Revis, Mo Wilkerson and Calvin Pryor. The improved team speed is evident. The starting offense, sans Brandon Marshall, managed one score in five series. Ryan Fitzpatrick was rusty, missing open receivers. He had one good throw, a 22-yard TD to Eric Decker. Matt Forte has 12 touches, no big plays in his Jets debut.

Kevin Seifert NFL Nation

If you're watching the replay of Oakland WR Amari Cooper's touchdown, remember: the ball can move while still in control of the receiver. Good decision there to uphold the catch.

Mike Wells ESPN Staff Writer

And things continue to get worse for the Colts. Starting left guard Jack Mewhort is out with a knee injury.

Jamison Hensley ESPN Staff Writer

Ravens QB Joe Flacco on his return: "It felt really good. I was a little quick on a couple of things, but it felt great to be back out there."

Blake Bortles: Jameis Winston Devonta Freeman: ? Who are the 2016 versions of these 2015 fantasy studs? (Insider):

Michael Rothstein ESPN Staff Writer

RAVENS 20, LIONS 6 (HALF): It has been a rough half for the Lions. Penalties were everywhere -- 8 for 80 yards including multiple personal fouls. Matthew Stafford threw a bad interception. The offense struggled to move. That's the bad news. Good news? The offensive line held up well, particularly LT Taylor Decker. Ameer Abdullah and DeAndre Levy played and looked OK. Oh, and Matt Prater had a 60-yard FG.

Tim McManus ESPN Staff Writer

Eagles wide receiver update: Nelson Agholor not targeted after drop early that led to a Sam Bradford interception. Josh Huff (rushing) and Dorial Green-Beckham both with TDs in the first half. Rueben Randle barely heard from.

Jamison Hensley ESPN Staff Writer

Ravens rookie RB Kenneth Dixon appears to have injured left leg or ankle on goal-line run. He's being carried off field and into locker room. Dixon was having a great night before injury.

Rich Cimini ESPN Staff Writer

In his Jets debut, RB Matt Forte played 11 of 20 snaps in the first quarter -- 6 carries for 15 yards, two catches for nine yards. They moved him around the formation, using him on the left and right wings. The offense looks lost without Brandon Marshall (inactive).

Linda Cohn @lindacohn

I knew the offensive line for the Giants was an issue but now I fear for Eli Manning's health.

Tim McManus ESPN Staff Writer

Dorial Green-Beckham gets into the act. Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford has targeted him twice in the end zone so far. The second time was successful, as Green-Beckham leapt high above his defender to snatch a ball in the corner of the end zone.

Jordan Raanan ESPN Staff Writer

It appears as if coach Ben McAdoo is calling plays. He has the oversized menu-looking chart. OC Mike Sullivan had called plays in first 2 preseason games.

Tim McManus ESPN Staff Writer

Receiver Josh Huff having a standout first half for the Eagles. The former Oregon Duck has two catches for 60 yards and a pair of runs for 10 yards and a touchdown. Eagles need at least one receiver besides Jordan Matthews to step up.

Jeff Legwold ESPN Staff Writer

Derek Wolfe, who missed several days of practice this week with a family matter, leads the list of Broncos who will not play tonight against the Rams. And while running back Todd Gurley is not expected to play for Rams, he is not on the list. Here it is:
