Interesting comment from Cardinals offensive coordinator Harold Goodwin today about not wearing out RB David Johnson: "He's a guy that we got to make sure we monitor as we move forward that we don't burn the wheels off of him." Coach Bruce Arians has been consistent about saying the Cardinals don't need to monitor or reduce Johnson's workload.

Cardinals long snapper Aaron Brewer told me he's trying to adjust his stance so he's not as low and his head is higher. Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner said after the game that he noticed on film that Brewer was quite low, which led him to believe he could hurdle him, which he did in the second quarter to block a field goal.

Cardinals CB Patrick Peterson (ribs) practiced Thursday in a limited fashion, as did LT Jared Veldheer (finger). They were the only two Cards who didn't practice Wednesday to take the field today. RG Mike Iupati (ankle) was upgraded to full.

Saints CB Delvin Breaux said he doesn't know if he has a chance to play Sunday. But he declared himself "90 percent" healed from his broken fibula and said he cleared a big mental hurdle in Thursday's practice by high-pointing the ball and landing on the leg.

Saints C Max Unger said he has some personal relationships with former teammates -- and he's looking forward to facing that Seahawks defense he used to face in practice. But he said "you kind of have to remove that personal element" and, "I'm not the first player to ever play against their former team."

The Packers have reached an injury settlement with WR Jared Abbrederis, who was placed on injured reserve last week. His quad injury apparently will end his career in Green Bay.

Key points on the Jets' injury report: Darron Lee, Bruce Carter and Brent Qvale already have been ruled out. Nick Mangold is not expected to play -- a big blow. Ryan Clady told me he will play. Matt Forte was given a rest day; he will play. Brandon Marshall should be good to go. Bilal Powell and Mo Wilkerson are moving in the right direction.

Pat McManamon ESPN Staff Writer

CB Jamar Taylor added to injury report as limited with groin muscle issue. He and CB Joe Haden both limited, with same issue and same injury that happened in practice.

Ben Goessling ESPN Staff Writer

Cordarrelle Patterson, who has a concussion, was one of five Vikings who did not practice Thursday. Audie Cole, who appeared to be getting an examination after Sunday's game, was limited with a finger injury.

Rob Demovsky ESPN Staff Writer

Two changes to the Packers injury report: Clay Matthews upgraded to limited and T.J. Lang downgraded to DNP. Lang said it was "just a rest day" for a recurring hip issue that flared up last Thursday against the Bears.

John Keim ESPN Staff Writer

Redskins corner Josh Norman says he feels much better than he did Wednesday as he recovers from his concussion. And his incentive to play Sunday stems from possibly facing Bengals receiver A.J. Green.
