The Bills will host WR Anquan Boldin, among other players, on a free-agent visit Monday, a source told ESPN NFL Insider Dan Graziano. Boldin, 36, led the Lions with 22 red zone targets last season. If the Bills sign him, he would be added to a competition at No. 2 receiver alongside rookie Zay Jones and veteran Andre Holmes, while also providing insurance in case of another injury to Sammy Watkins. The Bills begin training camp July 27.

The trial for offensive tackle Michael Oher, released by the Carolina Panthers on Thursday (reason failed physical/concussion), that was scheduled for Friday has been rescheduled for October 31, according to court documents. Oher was charged with alleged misdemeanor assault of a Nashville, Tennessee, Uber driver in April.

The Panthers officially announced on Friday the extension of guard Trai Turner, who on Thursday reached a 4-year, $45 million deal. Here is the statement from interim general manager Marty Hurney: "Any time you're able to secure someone like Trai, a two-time Pro Bowler and a staple of our offensive line, you're very fortunate. The offensive line is a key to the team's success and Trai is a very integral part of that. We're extremely excited to have Trai under contract for the next five seasons."
