49ers OLB Eli Harold said he decided to kneel before today's game rather than raising his right fist as he'd done previously largely because of the events of the past few weeks in Tulsa and Charlotte. Harold said he knows he's not a star but feels like joining Colin Kaepernick and Eric Reid in kneeling is his way of drawing attention to the cause.

49ers coach Chip Kelly said he did not consider pulling QB Blaine Gabbert for Colin Kaepernick during Sunday's 37-18 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. He said he thought Gabbert played "OK" in the game. Gabbert said it "starts with me" on the team's offensive struggles. Kaepernick, meanwhile, said he feels like he's physically capable of stepping in if and when his number gets called.
